As old-fashioned stationery and proper post become new luxuries, Scribble & Daub cards are designed to enhance any present, or to be tiny gifts in themselves, meticulously hand-crafted objects of enduring pleasure to both giver and receiver. After all, you are what you give.
Scribble & Daub creates simple, beautiful cards for discerning writers of notes and givers of gifts. Elegantly imperfect original pen and ink drawings are letterpress printed and then individually hand painted with Andy Warhol’s favourite inks, so that each and every one is unique. All Scribble & Daub products are designed and finished by hand in a cottage studio in the East Sussex countryside.
Scribble & Daub was founded by Caroline Kent, previously a curator of contemporary art more used to organising exhibitions with Turner Prize-winning artists than scribbling herself. After moving from Edinburgh to a cottage in the English countryside via a year travelling in the Americas and the arrival of her first child, she turned the hand-drawn cards she’d previously sent to friends and family into a small business. Only a short time later, and Scribble & Daub was featured in the pages of Vogue and The World of Interiors and stocked on the shelves of some of the UK’s leading department stores and independent shops throughout the world including Liberty, The Conran Shop, and Le Bon Marché, Paris.
Scribble & Daub also creates bespoke illustrations and event stationery for brands and private individuals. We love to collaborate with discerning clients who have included: Caramel, The Conran Shop, Hermés, Mr & Mrs Smith, Selfridges, Alex Eagle’s The Store and Votary. Please do get in touch if you have a project you’d like to discuss…
